The Shack-Hartmann ICC is an interface to the NA2 guide camera mechanical controller, which sets the filter number and focus position of the NA2 off-axis guider.
Gmech actor is based on TclActor. As such it has TclActor's standard commands and standard keywords. There are additional gmech-specific commands and keywords which are described in this manual.
The Shack-Hartmann is meant to be as simple as possible. It sets the stage according to the type of object to observe, and it exposes the camera and writes images.
Set the specified filter. Filters numbers are integers, starting at 0.
Stop the exposure.
Data is reduced using an old Windows 95 program from Sensoft.
After starting VMware, you should see
After rebooting, you will see a "Update Device Driver Wizard" screen similar to the following, three times, for the PCI stndard host CPU bridge, PCI Bridge, and PCI System Peripheral. Do not update any system software, so Cancel the operations.
The Windows 95 SHDATA directory is mounted on the Mac as /Volumes/SHDATA. Start finder, and you should see on the left-hand side under SHARED the Shack Hartmann directory, as follows.
If /Volumes/SHDATA is missing, mount the directory.
Because the starting Windows 95 is involved, it is best to suspend the virtual machine after you are done. Then, the procedure will be to resume and suspend the Shack-Hartmann reduction software.
Click on the blue icon in the top left hand corner. You should see the suspended state when completed. Now you can close VMware.
